Care Instructions

Washing

Hand Wash
Hand washing is gentle and helps preserve the delicate fibers. Use a mild detergent designed for woolens. Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add the detergent. Gently agitate the water to create suds.

Avoid Aggressive Agitation
Do not wring or twist the fabric, as this can cause distortion and stretching. Instead, gently press the water out.

Machine Washing (if necessary)
Use a gentle cycle with cold water and place the garment in a mesh laundry bag to minimize friction.

Drying

Flat Drying
Lay the garment flat on a clean, dry towel to maintain its shape. Reshape if necessary and leave it to air dry.

Avoid Hanging
Hanging can stretch the fibers. If you must hang, use padded hangers to reduce stress on the fibers.

Keep Away from Direct Heat
Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, as they can damage the fibers. Dry in a cool, shaded area.

Storage

Fold, Don't Hang
Fold garments to maintain their shape. Hanging can lead to stretching.

Use Breathable Storage
Store in breathable fabric bags or garment bags to protect against dust and pests.

Cedar Blocks for Moth Prevention
Add cedar blocks to your storage to deter moths. Avoid mothballs, as they can leave a lingering odor.

Additional Tips

Pilling Prevention
Use a fabric shaver or sweater comb to remove any pills that may form over time.

Spot Cleaning
Deal with stains promptly using a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Blot, don't rub.
